[SC Ben]

I'm currently a SC in Hertfordshire (sunny old England for the Welsh) and next year, possibly year after, I may be moving to Swansea or Cardiff.

Because of this, I'd be interested in applying for SWP and either getting a transfer or applying if/when recruitment opens.

Do SWP do a ride along scheme? I'd like to contact them and try get out on a few shifts with them to get an idea of what it's like Policing in the area and also how their Specials are used.

Unfortunately they don't. Well at least they don't for potential specials or just MOP's. Whether they might let serving specials do it I'm not sure, but its worth a phone call.

I contacted the HQ and each area, Cardiff, Neath, Bridgend, Swansea etc and had the same answer from each.
