As some of you will have noticed, the TVP area of the forum has undergone some tidying in the past 24 hours. It has been long overdue and it is clear that a number of topics were being repeated on a quarterly basis at least. The TVP area had reached 13 pages, with lots containing topics from over 2 years ago, many of these with little or no replies in their content.
There are a few new threads which have been created by merging (in some cases) over 20 previous threads on the same topic. The main ones are:
- TVP Application Questions- This thread is for questions relating to recruitment and the application process for Specials/PCSO's mainly. A regulars recruitment thread will run separately.
- Forthcoming Training Intakes- Discussions & Questions- Intake threads are ten a penny on this part of the forum. This new thread incorporates the previous intake threads and creates a much bigger one for people to discuss their intakes when they are approaching or in the process of training.
- TVP Assessment Day-Discussions & Questions- This thread is for applicants and serving officers to discuss upcoming assessments and offer advice/share experiences on the topic.
- Boots, Belts & Vests!- This area is for everything related to uniform, boots and equipment. If you've got a question or want to share something about a new piece of kit then here's the place!
The above new threads are designed to run along the same lines as the TVP Vehicle Thread which has proved fairly popular.
The TVP area has now been cut from 13 pages to 5. There are still a number of topics from yester-year dating back to 2008 so don't panic! Over 100 irrelevant and repeated topics have been deleted and there is still more merging to do.
Finally, If anyone can add updates to some of the topics pinned such as assessments, training and Stations/BCU's then please PM me and I'll arrange to open the topics for these purposes.
