Pin numb etc to be stitched. I had a PCSO stab vest which is being converted to a specials one because lack of stock I think. Most kit to be honest was a bit like 'closest to whats fits you', some of mine felt abit small
So who's in the system now?

I got L division, same as I asked for
Si, I think the info will be in the welcome letter, but I did find an old thread earlier (I was wondering the same thing) that said it was "smart casual". I hate that phrase...
I've not been off this site since got the call, looking over all the old treads.
I was thinking it would be a rush if needed boots for the weekend.
I have worn a suit to every part of the process so far but maybe abit over the top for the induction?

I would advise you buy some boots before the weekend, you may need them for the Sunday, although don't quote me on that

Think i maybe more of an average height so it was all spot on if not a little big.
Starting to feel real now seeing all that kit go into the bag.

Get your boots ASAP, they'll need lots of wearing in. At my induction we received part of our kit and were expected to wear it from then on while at Sedgley.
As the letter says, induction is "smart casual" . I wore a shirt and trousers but a lot of other people wore jeans and a smart top. I think you'll be fine as long as you don't turn up in shorts, sandals and vest
Any questions just ask.

Do you get issued uniform on day 1 or 2? When you say from then on, do you mean this weekend or after? Wondering if I can get away with waiting till I get paid next week..

You will probably get your uniform on Day 1 of your induction and will be expected to wear it on Day 2 (Sunday), that's why it's advisable to get your boots before the Sunday.

Had my uniform fitting earlier, thats an awesome feeling seeing yourself with all the kit on.
Did anyone think to ask what happens with out of stock stuff? I didn't think to ask until I was half way down the M602. My helmet was out of stock, along with my waterproof trousers and something else. I'm getting a PCSO stab vest too.

It'll be placed on order and you'll either receive it before your attested or it will be sent to your chosen station.

Just at the very beginning- received an email today confirming my application has been successful so just waiting on a date for my NAP
Well done.
Assesment day is rewarding if your prepared, the people who sit in and monitor the written test and conduct the interview are usually serving specials in GMP themselves!

Quick question, did you attend the January infomation evening on the 11th of Jan, as the closing dates for apps is the 22nd Jan, so for your app to be accepted so soon, I was just wondering when you sent it off to begin with. My understanding of this years intake was to be only 50 in MAY

I found that too, once you've got passed the initial nervousness, the process is really good, extremely well run and lots of friendly people. The whole recruitment process has been really good. Good luck Alan.
Cheers Guys

I think that they said on the information evening that we do the physical again on day 1 OST to make sure everyone is still fit for duty.
And that's why it's early start.
You do a warm up every day. In my opinion, the warmup is harder than the initial fitness test
