Does make more sense really, from last weekends Mod 5 when we had our little referesher, you had 5 weeks inbetween your PPE and then easy to forget things! :D
Heard we all did well though, did Bruce/Rob/Mike get all teary eyed? :D

And Neil, yep that weekend of your Induction the 18th, is our final day, we'll all be warranted constables by then due to our ceremony being on the Friday, so i'll make sure to come and find you during coffee break/lunch and catch up! Trust me you'll have a great time and with this new process, should be less chaotic your first day with all the admin sorted out, can jump straight in! :aok:

I will look out for you mate, be good to see a familiar face. Posted Image Got my uniform fitting next Friday, so things are really starting to pick up now Posted Image

Can't believe you're already that close to becoming a warranted Constable Posted Image I remember when I met you in the lobby after my Interview back in July. Still remember the expression on your face when I told you how many were on the interview panel... Priceless! Posted Image

Anyway, if I don't see you up at HQ all the best for your Attestation and will see you on duty at JW.

Take care mate! Posted Image

Just had my offer for the appointment of Special Constable. Training will start in March Posted Image really happy now! Posted Image

I'm on the same course mate. I had my uniform fitting last Wednesday you just need to ring them and give them your collar number but wait to hear from Sally before you do that mind! Uniform is giving to us on module one not induction I Think. Don't quote me though lol.

When did you have your medical??
The induction is going to run from 08.30hrs to 17.00hrs. Thought the induction was two hours. Is uniform fitting being done during the induction now or is it done on a different date?

I'm getting worried about you Wayne... :D

We were discussing the merits of having a full on PPE adventure weekend...combining the airwave / cs (water) / baton / stop and search etc etc incorporating a redman or 2 or 3 at large in the grounds of HQ and putting everything you have been taught into one big exercise before you're flung out in to the big wide world...!!!!!

Now that would be pretty awesome....wouldn't mind doing a red man bit myself

All those in favour?????

Anyone else get a little nervous just from the practice arrested? I was bricking it.

Aye! That'd be a great setup, adding that to the end of the course notes on what could be improved :)

You will be asked to leave or retake, but you will have to asses your situation. If you give 110% Rob, Mike and Bruce will help you a lot, if you just do it half arsed and when you draw your baton like a soggy sausage beware because you will get a telling off, I will say if you haven't lost your voice and your arms are( well one side of you) isnt aching you have not given 110% even if you are really fit, your voice is a weapon too.

Enjoy iftand practice cuffing from your weak side, I hate doing cuffing from the 8 oclock, it feels weird, but we NEED to do it.

You'd have to do something really drastic to fail...!!!! We had asps flying, torn ligaments..Instructor totally floored out on red man and someone who went in to the total red mist zone!! Now then I wonder who that was???!! :new_doh2:

We all passed....they assess you on if they would do a duty with you and competant enough to do it...so it is quite an ego boost too! :D

Be positive...confident and professional...as you would on the street! simples! ;)
