Hey Alex!

Well done on also getting on the course, we might be seeing a lot of eachother then, I didnt think that I was going to get a uniform fitting next week at first because I'm away with work for 6 days from Thursday, but thankfully the lady managed to find me a space on the Tuesday, so Im guessing they are pretty rammed with it all!!

I know, I think it will feel surreal putting it all on, but its the fun part now I hope, looking forward to meeting lots of new people!! :D

Nothing yet mate. Doctor still hasn't done my report yet...been almost four weeks now. Posted Image

Spoke to OHS and they are keen to chase it up, and asked me to contact my surgery to see if it has been done. All I get from my doctors surgery is "it may take a while".

Wow that sucks, to be honest at this stage I'd just annoy my surgery on purpose - can you not go in and make sure it is dealt with? If they're being so slow about it I'd definitely be in my GP's waiting room :)

I was going to do that but found out last week that the Doctor I had appointed to do the report only works two days a week. If I had known that when filling in the consent form I would have appointed another Doctor who works five days a week. Posted Image
If no joy by Friday I'll be contacting the Head Of Practice to see if he/she can lean on this a bit. Posted Image

If you want to be on January I'd be ringing head of practice first thing Monday morning, as you have to give time for HR and uniform etc. - otherwise you could be waiting until April :aok:

You'll all get there lads trust me! Have some faith and think very positive!

When you do get up to the HQ don't be worried about asking questions, as they say theres no such thing as a stupid question....although Dawn does say it's a stupid question if you ask it twice! :(
Come and say Hello to all of us, come mingle we don't bite :D

I'm still annoyed Cookie that we didn't catch those rampant wilderbeast that trashed the Portacabins....have to Netbreif those!
Did you respond to the burglary at the residential area with the white male, large build, red suit and white beard carrying a bag of swag? :p

There is a police badge that go's on the back, it will say police by the time you get it!
Strange they still have the old ones, I swaped in a damaged one in May and got a shiny new one :)

I knew it was coming :p She said, 'actually, we may have something in here' and shut the holder with all the shiny ones in :p Ah well, will see if I can accidentally damage it within a year Posted Image It's comfy and warm though which is all that matters, the custodians looked really small though! Have they shrunk to be more manageable? That said they look smarter then what I thought they did, maybe they haven't shrunk.. no idea.
Was really surreal putting it all on though, under 4 weeks to go :D

hahaha yeah so did I, they slide the police in later, others on our course have new style one, with battenberg and fast docks.

I didn't quite understand what people said, what are the differences between the radio loops on ours vs. the airwave docks on the newer issues?

14th is Mod 1 yes, induction is on the 8th.

Radio loops are for the old radios its literally a loop sewn onto the front of shirts, fleeces and the older style Hi-Vis jackets. Airwave Docks are the way we put put radios on to stab jackets, the newer style hi-vis. With shirts, fleeces and old style hi-Vis you can get airwave docks that clip around the radio loops, allowing you to clip your radio etc on to your kit.
Below is a airwave dock attached to radio loop.

Hehe, i thought Rob was the one who legged it, I was literally around the corner attacking the CPR dummy when i just heard 'QUICK IT'S THE FUZZ LEG IT!' :D

It'll be even more surreal when you see yourself in a sea of black and white :p I love that feeling, just mind your socks.... Ian will make a point from the off and i wouldn't recommend wearing white socks :D
Four weeks will pass very very quickly Alex :p Before you know it it'll be the start and you can start making new friends and cramming a lot of information into your head! :p

Trust me the time soon goes and you'll be in training having fun...;)

I can't wait, at PPE i'm going to see if i can get the cuffs on you or Josh depending on who we end up handcuffing, and after that we are all into the flow of what we'll actually be doing out on district :D
I'd recommend reading up on your pre-reads, especially that use of force section, quite important with regards to the PPE :D

Had my uniform fitting last week and I know a few others have had so are at the same stage as me. Was wondering if anyone had heard anything from the training or school or any other further information or is everything winding down for xmas?!?

What information are you on about exactly? If you've had the uniform fitting then you're all good to go - I had mine last week, and received a final email today with a bit more information about the induction on the 8th January.
