Just wondering who's planning on applying at the beginning of next year, (JANUARY 2012) just created an account on here and would appreciate any response!


Basically looking for people to talk to about it and for a running partner or anyone attending a club in the area..(running on my own is getting tedious)

i live in helston, right right down... lands end is about 45 mins away with traffic... Culdrose is the Navy base where SAR are...

Sent my application a few weeks ago and got a letter sent about dyslexia, sent back awaiting now on paper sift, good luck to you all and i hope we do all meet eventually...

Got my letter through yesterday acknowledging they received my application and needed to fill out a registration form so they can give me my results of the application!

Haha watching the same thing. Nope nothing at the moment but they sent a 2nd class envelope. So may have only received it today. But won't know till I get a letter but will let you know

You're likely to wait about a month I think until you find out the results.

And that's If they reply if you don't pass, not too sure on that one... If you don't hear back after about a month, then just chase it up with H R

Anybody heard anything back yet? I'm from Ivybridge near Plymouth, sent off the application approximately on the 19th of January, not entirely sure of the exact date. Recieved a letter acknowledging the recieval of my application on the 24th of January, which was followed by a form entitled "Special Constable Registration Form V2". Sent that off well before the deadline, haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone else who applied this time got any news? And for those of you who applied previously but didn't finish for whatever reason, how long did it take to recieve any sort of response? Cheers for any responses.

Hello lovely people! Just an update.. A friend of mine got a letter back today and had passed the sift! So hopefully expecting something in the post today.. unless I've missed it being delivered (Small letterbox).
My dad's partner also has a habit of just taking post and not saying anything... Will message back soon, good luck again . Mike

Well i am a happy man today, Got a letter from Devon and Cornwall saying i passed the Paper sift and got a B for the questions... So now just work even harder on fitness and then Exeter here i come! Any others?
