i have a letter saying i have been assigned to county division and my police station and line manager will be confirmed shortly. now can any one tell me what area in notts that county division is?

Notts used to be split in to 4 Divs - A,B,C and D. It's now City Div and County Div.
City Div is the city centre and County Div is the rest of Notts. Which stations/area have you applied for? They'll endeavour to get you to your desired station.

Sorry it took so long to reply I have been busy with work and specials training. Yes I do have a PCV why do you ask.

It was me yes. We're working on the tours, if you have any feedback then feel free to let us know, I understand the whole process of training is intense and you barely get a minute to yourselves but we try to make it more comfortable and let you see the 'family' side of the specials.

I found the tour very interesting and helpful. It was nice to of met you and I think its a head start if I get Mansfield as my station. Fingers crossed. I am really enjoying the training, this is what I want to do and im really eager to get going. I'm not to sure what im supposed to do about my large hi vis jacket as it had to be adjusted.

Apparently though...Sutton is the busiest station/area, outside of Nottingham...is that right, or was the desk sergeant just bigging up Sutton?

I was based at sutton for a few years, there's a good balance of neighbourhood policing and response work there. It can be very busy, in the distant past there might only have been a handful of regulars covering a large area, sometimes officers had to travel from mansfield to give us a hand. Sutton response covers Kirkby and surrounding countryside so there can be some good runs, lots of different situations and scenerios.
Take a few of them with a pinch of salt though and dont take any lip, you'll be o.k. ;o)

I kinda miss the Mansfield and Ashfield area, and you'll never hear anyone admit to that, anything interesting happen since Christmas?

I nipped up to Mansfield today to have a chat to my tutor, had a chat about what I will be doing and I really can't wait now. My tutor is a top bloke looking forward to working with him.

Good to hear.
Anyone been shot/stabbed/impaled etc. recently? I don't have access to East Mids today so i'm not up to dat eon local goings on. Any big police goings on?
