Well yes Christmas is getting close but this post is actually about the January training course...I know there are some very good posts already about the course (including elloelloellos post which I am going to start reading) but I just wondered if any one else reading this had any tips/do's/don'ts that they learnt and wouldnt mind sharing...if not thank you for reading the post anyway!! Also looking forward to meeting everyone who has mentioned here that they will be there

Hi Bigs,
I've just passed vetting and my medical so am hoping to be on this course. I was told there could be up to 60 people on it!!
Hopefully we will hear back about places early November.

Do you know if the course will be at Slougham or HQ?

Slaugham I think however it was not confirmed. Sounds like alot of peeps!!
Recruitment have alot of decisions to make regarding higher qty's of trainees on fewer courses or less people but more courses.
Anybody stationed at Brighton from here?

I wonder if there is even enough accommodation at Slaugham to cater for 60 people, the canteen certainly will struggle to fit all 60 and I wonder if the main room will be too much of a squeeze...
I am based at Brighton, think there are a few other on here too....

Yeah I was told 60 odd last week. I may be put onto the course in April. Waiting for that phonecall in November...

60 people does sound like a lot!
I am currently training and there is 40 people on our course.
Although the staff safety trainers sound that they could potentially be increasing the group to 60 but they would have to carry out training at HQ if that was the case as there is certainly not enough room at Slaugham for a group of that size.
Good luck to everyone on the January course!!! You will honestly love it!
