I know it's a bit far away but I was just wondering, what age can I apply to become a Special Constable for North Wales Police?
Is it 17 and a half? Or right on 18?
Thanks.

Hello there,
NWP accepts applications from 18+.
"Age Requirements:
Applications can be accepted at the age of 18. There's no upper age limit for applying to the police service, but bear in mind that the normal retirement age is 60 years and that new recruits are required to undertake a two-year probationary period."

And no worries.

Hi Welshscott,
You can apply before your 18th birthday, but I wouldn't do it too long before turning 18. I would say a couple of weeks before you turn 18 send off an application, as it usually takes a few weeks to even get a reply.
If in doubt sent HR an email - they're great at helping you out if you have a question, or even ring them up and have a chat.
Personally I applied before turning 18 but only a few days short and it worked out fine.
How old are you now?

I got through all of the recruitment stages, yes.
Kudos for volunteering. It'll work wonders in the Special application and even more so in the interview.
But don't worry about the specials just yet, you got atleast a year before you need to start thinking about it again.
Btw out of interest, what do you cadets do?
