I am personally not, though as the course goes on many of the officers will find PS.com. Also, many, sc's, s/sgts and senior officers will be there on thursday.

Very best of luck with you're training, any help just give is a msg.

Hi Rob,

I recently completed the course (my attestation was yesterday!), so if you've got any questions etc. feel free to ask away. The training staff are excellent and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Good luck :aok:

yeh got a letter the other week explaining how i'd missed out on the October intake due to a high demand and that i would be on the January intake instead. Just under going all the security checks and vetting etc now. Have you finished your security checks/vetting?

Yes bud, I start training in an hour ;)

Was supposed to be in August, however my surgeon from a previous operation took ages to get back to the occupational heath department so I was pushed back until October.

So then, 4 weeks in, is everyone enjoying the training? I hear from a guy at University that it's really good. Really cannot wait until Jan :prone:

It is great fun Chris.

The trainers are amazing and between them, have many years of policing experience.

You'll meet Dave (one of the weekend trainers) who has us in stitches!

I bet you can't wait!

We have 2 week end's of training left, then it is assessment time, I believe :)

I got a letter through the other day saying that I am all clear to start my training in Jan; it's good to see that a few of you are too. Weren't sure how many people would be attending.
Very nervous but excited. Hope to see you all there.

Basically, if you go to ARCO they will suggest the best boot :p

No steel toe caps, the boot should protect the anckle

Was you meant to be on the October intake? I was meant to be on that but got pushed back until January on 'priority'. All I did was call to find this out, didn't wait for any letter. Give them a quick call tomorrow they will be able to help you.

Will do, bit confused.... I was on the october intake but they were over subscribed so I got a letter saying that the demand was high and they would reserve a place on the jan course for me if I could make the dates. Didn't say anything about priority....

You said earlier you got paperwork but here you say you got this on the phone..... guess I can hear some stuff on the phone but would be even better to get it in writing...

Would be interesting to hear if any other Leics specials have got this through yet...

Sorry I have made this confusing. Ok before October I called up to ask what was happening, to see if I got through or not because I haven't heard anything. They told me because there was too many people doing the October course I had to be pushed back to January (she said priority, but I guess she meant the people pushed back would get the chance first). Few weeks after this call I had a letter to confirm this, along with a time table of the dates in January. Then I heard nothing until the letter on the 25th. Hope that makes more sense.
