For info Vauxhall won the national police contract.

Expect to see lots of Astra's and Corsa's. The idea is nationally there is one spec for all forces that fit two types of radio system buzz words flying around is "Single Vehicle Architecture".

BMW 5 series for traffic cars (diesels ;P)

Doesn't mean forces can't buy other vehicles but its meant to save money buying vehicles at the correct spec and agreed price nationally.

The Astras are good, the in cab design is neat. For those used to mobile data or ANPR screens the dash isn't cluttered but unfortunately there is no radio for 3am heart FM listeners... My only disappointment is they still haven't figured out what to do with Sat Navs.

Insignias are fantastic (ignoring the gearbox)

Bread vans are good too due to the cage in the back. I was driving that very insignia up there only yesterday

The real irony there is the bread crate leaning against the carrier and not the bread van...

Though I must admit if West Mids call them POVs I'm a tad annoyed, carriers they always will be!

I'll always have a soft spot for a good Iveco PSU carrier!

That said, can't argue with a nice Sprinter either!

Seen the first corsa marked up for bw outside the lane today, along with a 62 plate peugeot cage van. Guess the npt rollout is well and truly underway!

I really do, looks almost like it's got front teeth! Not had the pleasure of driving it yet, but it's definitely an improvement on the one you can see in the background.
