I'm quite happy with my Discos and Land Cruisers thank you very much. The cars in the poll are too small.
lol! Saw a new HATO landy a couple of weeks ago, looked great! Always think you are police when i see one go past at speed

The only gripe I have is that they could do with being a bit bigger but the Astra is bang on for getting from domestic to domestic!

Re the cage van - having had to push start one in the centre of cov, I am always dubious about getting in them again!

Why on earth the -1?Haha. More boot space for the wads of 392s
Yep, I agree! Wish I had been there to have a wee giggle at you...308 over the Astra. Only been in a Focus very briefly on YJ.

Only because we have them in the estate format. Has plenty of room in the front for a 6'4" giant like me to sit comfortably and has adequate room in the back for me to sit in with a prisoner for transporting. The boot also has enough room for the fast roads kit (9 cones, 3 till-dawns and 2 signs in our vehicles), road clearing kit (broom and shovel), wellies, enforcer, hooly bar, MOE PPE, first aid kit, sharps disposal kit, cordon kit, UK road maps, 2 persons kit bags and an internal mounted full colour, remote control ANPR camera (with the IR camera statically mounted on the roof externally)
Ooops, sorry - gate crashing from a 'shire force

SH are getting 16 Insignias in January, with more to follow to other LPU's after that... so they're on their way.
16 in one go?? Thats a bit bizarre. What's gonna happen to all the vehicle's that are well within their service life? Normally vehicles are phased in, and the when the vans were all brought out in one go, all of them were at least 5yrs old. Likewise the driving school and the dog vans were all at the end of their service life when they had their rollout.

Either decommed or turned over to FSB or FSPL. I think they still have some older astras, i know theres 56,07 and 57 plate astras here in cov which are not FSC cars. Lookin forward to seeing them! Any idea when CV or BW are gettin them covplod?16 in one go?? Thats a bit bizarre. What's gonna happen to all the vehicle's that are well within their service life? From what ive heard the insignias are gonna be area cars so it would be:
Panda
Area car
Ops cars
So i did think they will be replacing any cars, just adding to the fleet. Ive seen a 61 plate 308 in cov last week so i think they are gonna be a new class of vehicle.

The Insignias I'm told are response only... which is nice!
No idea when they're going to be elsewhere though, expect next year though...first half I'd imagine.

Old cars will be dished out to other teams such as NPT etc etc.

Never a bad thing, a few more marked vehicles in the NPT pool wont be a bad thing, seem to be a bit like rocking horse poop currently!
