Ever since moving onto section I have been trying to get a place on an NSPIS course, I have applied for it through my PDR and had it approved by line managers etc. At the start of last month I was emailed from one of the L&D people saying it had been passed up to his skipper to see if it was possible for me to go on this course. I let a couple of weeks go past but had not heard anything so at the tail end of last month I emailed the skipper as I had been cc into the original email and had his address. I was not expecting a reply straight away as he was on AL but 2 weeks down the line I have still not heard anything.
Has anyone got NSPIS access and if so was it this hard to get approved?? I know they are pushing a lot of CIMS courses out at the moment but surely being able to do offence builds etc are just as important, especially for specials who have IPS.
Sorry for the semi rant, is just frustrating...

I take it there are no longer any regular training evenings on division?

From what I understand now that the cohorts have all finished those who were due to have training has completed it. I will pester my sergeant / inspector again tomorrow when I am in.
