Hey hey kiddos! So im really busy at work today (NOT) and decided to finish off all my loose ends... i.e. printing off said certificate for lawful handling of info! Now, am i being really thick and this certificate thingy is staring me in the face orrrr is it just that learning transcript thingy you've printed off which shows the 100% complete status, if so then cool beans! ???

Bex where did you find it? All I have printed off is the activity progress detail, is there something else?
Nicky
Hey Nicky,
Thats all i printed off too but then i think it was rob said something about the certificate on here and i vaguely remember that donna talking about printing certificates so i figured i should print it off anyway.
Once you have completed the handling of info assessment you should be able to print off the certificate as proof to say you got 100%. I (EVENTUALLY) found it...If you click on learn in the top tool bar, and then click on training schedule a new screen will pop up (mine at the moment just shows the IL4SC student materials). Then you should see a drop down menu near the top right corner, if you click that and go to completed activities you should see a list of stuff you have done and the assessment will be there. Click on the assessment one and it should come up with the assessment you did, when you completed it, and what score you get. Then there is a tiny button under the 'attempt history' section that looks like a certificate. That button will bring up the certificate and you can then print it from there!!! Not the easiest to find but hopefully you'll fingure it out.
Bex
i've just finished off all my stuff aswell but, my lovely yellow folder has given way collapsing at all possible points, looks like a trip to staples for a folder
and all the other stuff we have to get for the first day.

Can't believe we start our training tomorrow night - where has the time gone?!!! I haven't got any boots either yet as I am sure we don't need them this weekend and I was unsure if they have to be steel toecapped or just normal boots, done a bit of looking around various shops and pricing them up, just out of intrest. I was going to ask tomorrow night unless anybody on here remembers? Also I just need to print off the training record to show I have completed the online modules and not just the test and add that sheet to the mountain of paperwork I will be bringing tomorrow!!
Don't think we need to bring anything else tomorrow as I am assuming we get our uniform, books, ID cards and anything else tomorrow before the weekend of training starts?
See you all tomorrow and best of luck to everyone,
Rob

Regarding boots, definitley NOT steel toe caps. Dont go spending a fortune on boots
1) Because you dont know if you will stick it, sorry to be pessimistic
2)You only get £50 allowance
3) You can always get a better pair, once you get out on duty.
Magnums are usually a good bet for starting off with, take a look at Patrol Store .com. Personally I got a pair from Sports Direct and they are well comfy and only cost £40
Good luck and enjoy the course

Jonno has given you good advice above, it does not matter how much you spend on boots you will only be able to claim back £50
My advice would be get boots that fit and are comfortable,
Tomorrow night Barry will give you a photocopy handout with an example of what boots are available, take your time to ensure you get a pair that fit you correctly because you are very likely be standing in them for many hours.
But if you don't like boots you don't have to have them, you can always use plain black shoes (not that I would)

I am sure you will enjoy it. Great advice above regarding boots, I think one major thing to look for when buying boots is for them to be waterproof. (Steel toe caps is a no, no)
I wonder who will have the pleasure of staying at the Firs for the first weekend, this was Jonno's second home, he always stayed there ha ha.

BTW there's a BBQ in the shed and some charcoal , another group left there.
Has been removed and a sander + wet floor signs have replaced it.
Oh by the way did anyone leave a cup of milk in the fridge, I think you may have forgotten it

The cottage, I am 6ft 5 and all I did was walk around bent over, spiders coming out the holes in the wall. At least you got the new flat screen TV's, they only came three quarters of the way through training.
Jonno, I miss the club mate, on the weekends memories hey
