Hi There
Might be best to contact West Yorkshire Police and ask them about it.
Or they might display the information on their website under recruitment
Best of luck if you decide to apply.
(And apologies to you WYP lot for hijacking your forum!)

I can remember something in my vetting that mentioned work experience and that but it was more inside the station I think. You could always watch road wars and see how NOT to do it hehe but just ring up an ask. If Don't ask don't know really so worth a try

I don't think they offer anything official. Your best bet is if you know someone in the job ask them to try arrange something more unofficial. They'll have to clear it with supervision of course, but probably your best chance. If you want more info I believe the force still run open evenings for interested specials. Check out the recruitment pages, get your name down and someone will no doubt be in touch before the next set of recruitment starts.

Im a WYP Special and some have done ride alongs it is possible to do it but you would need to speak to someone at a station to arrange it, they wont always let people do it.

We do ride alongs every week, we can pick you up anywhere and drop you at any custody suite you would like
Sorry not useful, in truth they can be organised but you would Need to enquire locally
