Hi everyone,

Anyone else got an interview this coming weekend? If so how's the preparing going?
Some forces seem to tell you which competencies will be tested, seems like we could get asked on any of the 7 !

Hey Fforest,

Forgive me for invading your forum, but also be aware to that fact that you might be tested on a competency without knowing it. For example, in the Met, they test the communication competency throughout the interview based on your answers to the other questions, there is no explicit communications questions.

I had mine yesterday at 5pm. Dont have the slightest idea how i got on although i feel it went better than last time. Horrible waiting for the result isnt it lol

Yeah it is hrroible waiting. I got the same feeling to i think i did better then last time. I failed by one mark last time back six months ago i couldnt beleive it.

i think they said we should know by the end of this week or latest Monday that is what they told me in the interview but you never know

I was told interviews are being held right through until saturday or sunday so wasnt expecting to hear from anyone until at least friday of next week. But if you were told by monday at the latest then thats alot better.

That's ace, not long to wait then.

To be perfectly honest with you I really don't know how it went. I thought I answered quite well but after failing the last interview Im not so sure. Didn't really get any indication from the panel as to how well I done. I was interviewed by a male and female. I live in Gloucestershire so not too far away.

How about you? How do you think you did, Did you get any indication from the panel as to how well you done?

Hiya, checking my emails every hour to see if I've had my result haha.

I wasn't told when we would find out but last time it took over a week. Hopefully someone else will come on and tell us more.

Hi all

I failed my interview. This is the second time now i have failed it is so annoying.

I thought i improved on the last interview but that didnt work either

I have to reply to the email they sent for them to send my feedback to me.

Sorry to hear you both failed at the interview stage, I've been here myself and know how gutting it feels, but it Is the most difficult stage of the process.

Don't be deterred, take another look at the feedback, and prepare that little bit more next time around.

Got mine about 16:00 also got a reply about the feedback they are going to compile everyones requests for feedback and then pull out the panels notes.

Feel gutted for you both and know how it feels as i failed the last interview too. I have passed mine this time thankfully. Remember you can apply again in 6 months.

Do you have to start at beginning of the application process when you re-apply?

Yes you are required to submit a fresh application if you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process.
