Hi not griping I Can expect it to take more than 3 months for the vetting to be completed but has anyone else have had theirs completed and started training.

Vetting finally complete! It's only taken a year.. (that's JUST vetting - haha) Start on the January training slot, anyone else down for that one?

I was down for the drugs test on the 7th, because my previous one expired. I've managed to move it forward to the 29th next week which is better for me as I'm working on the 7th. I'm guessing you guys are on the January start?

Hi there... Im new... i've just got my letter confirming a Drugs Test on the 7th Dec - does this mean i've passed the vetting stage ????

Don't quote me on this, but if you have sent your vetting forms in and months later got a drug test appointment I would say you are through as SYP isn't likely to shell out the cost of testing if there is still a chance you could not get in.
However I could sweat all my letters for each stage in the process clearly stated that you had got through the preceding stage - if in doubt ask recruiting!

I did my first drugs test a couple of months before I even received my vetting forms

Eyup guys. We're on the intake before you lot. When we all did ours we did our drugs test WWAAYYY before vetting was completed.
You'll get vetting confirmation forms through once you've passed, signed by a vetting officer, HR, and a CI.
