Just received a letter from Leicestershire Constabulary to inform me that my Application form has been successful. It explains that the next stage is to attend an assessment Process and Fitness Test. What exactly will the assessment process involve?

Hi there and well done

It's pretty straight forward, the assessment day is broken down into 3 areas; an interview, a written exam and a situational judgement test (multiple choice).

In the interview, you will be asked questions regarding the core competencies (read about these in detail), you just need to apply your life experiences to answer these questions.

Do plenty of preparation prior to the assessment day and you will be fine.

I'm on the current intake going through training so have just gone through the app process and we did the assessment process, then were called back for a fitness test and a quick chat with a OccHealth Nurse before being invited back for a medical on another date.
