I bought my first 360 yesterday (albeit a pre-owned one) from a reputable high street chain, and after literally 20mins of gameplay got the 3 red rings of death! took it back and they swapped it for a working one, got that home and tried to play a game and the disc refuses to spin on any game!! another well known fault apparently! aarrgghh.

Should I sack it in and get my money back or try one last time?

I think I'll try and complain/haggle with them tomorrow and see if I can get a new one as a replacement at no extra cost. If you don't ask, you don't get!

Or just get a PS3... they have Bluray too, and free internet, and you don't need battaries for the controllers

You also can't play games online for days at a time due to Sony incompetence.

Ok, so in the end I ended up getting a new 250Gb slim... was a bit more money, but looks good and very happy with it's performance. :D

Yeah you could do that if you want your credit card/personal details at risk
