Hi,
Im at the medical stage of the recruitment process for SC. Does anyone know if Lancashire allow any specials to be trained to response level driving?
Cheers

According to my chart, Click, No. Only A-B and A-B+Patrol.

Currently no. There were only 10 Specials county wide who could drive response but I believe a couple may have now left. The remaining response trained drivers have just lost their response tickets revoked and can now only drive A-B the same as many other specials.

I was just wondering because the amount of specials is increasing, that it was possible that there would be more places for them to be trained to response level?

As per the above not at the moment no. No plans for the future either but that said, you never know whats going to happen.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'd concentrate about getting experience doing the job. When you've been in a while, then worry about driving to and from jobs.
