Apologies!!....I'm your'e dreaded Nightshift Security from Asda St Austell
Nicki
If I am reading this correctly, you work as a security guard!!
Does this not create a conflict of interest between being a security guard and a Special Constable??

And I can vouch for the good job Nic does, as a detention officer I end up dealing with the people she has caught!!

There is a difference,i am Internal Security, employed by Asda as a colleague monitoring CCTV so i don't have the badge!! wouldn't of been able to apply to Specials if i did.Hope this answers your'e question.Nicki
You obviously have a little trouble understanding,i am Security but am not hands on as SIA trained Security guards are, hence Internal Security, some supermarkets have external security... SIA trained, some have Internal... not SIA trained.I don't mean to seem rude but why the sarcastic comments, i don't need and have back up from other Security Guards...,normally talking to people in an appropiate manner is normally enough to suffice, which you should know being a Special? You don't have to be rolling around on the floor with someone to get a result. If they do kick off Police are called.I stop people for shoplifting,.... most of the time they come back in the store and then they are dealt with by the Police,if they wanna run let em run they'll only get caught down the road by the Police anyway.

HI everyone,
I hope you are all well and looking forward to your inductions. I am intrested because before being in my current role I used to work for The tesco internal security team. Doing a similar role by the sounds of it. When I went for the old recruitment process it was slightly frowned upon as they felt it was a conflict of intrest with a sia badge or not. Although if I had passed at the time I was going to move back to shopfloor work and had Tesco backing for this so there was no issue. Have recruitment been ok with you being an internal security officer?
All the best

Whatsup People,
Hope we're all keeping well, just a quick update, i phoned HR this morning as it's getting a bit close if we're to be on the July intake. The letters still haven't gone out yet and apparently they are still waiting for occupational health to get sorted. Don't know if this is going to mess everything up and we'll be on the October intake!! No news apart from that.
P.S. Nic, stop getting shoplifters i'm trying to eat my curry!!!!
