Stab vest ( pretty major) tac vest and all equipment holders.
Got my hat and all basic uniform and hi viz jackets
What do you mean "equipment holders"? All the holders for equipment are "built in" if that's the right term, to the tac vest?

well I hear from one of the guys at stores that they are moving in July so hopefully they will be settled and fully stocked for August for my attestation lol
You could well be sorted by then mate. Its just frustrating not to have all the bits you need, but as I said before I dont believe we will have to go out without the essentials.

Without the essentials, you wont be allowed out! You're not meant to be out without things like PAVA, let alone missing uniform/kit

PAVA isn't issued until you arrive at your nick, so that's not something to worry about. However with no stabbie or tac vest you will not be allowed to start active duty.
I'm sure it'll be sorted pretty quickly though. They've paid a lot of money to train their officers, they will want them all out ASAP.

Who would I go and see to get issued with PAVA and a locker?

They should go through all that on your first shift I think.

I reckon all of that may (hopefully) have been sorted for you already, but on your first shift speak with either sarge or the guv and they'll help you out.

I heard that the clear acoustic tube earpiece is only meant for loud situations like football etc and it can damage your hearing... is this true? which earpiece do people prefer?
I haven't heard that before, but Rocket will likely know more about this than I do. Whichever earpiece you find is the most comfortable to wear over long periods of time is the one you should go with. I stick with the black 'G' earpiece as it allows me to hear the radio and my surroundings equally well, I found that the acoustic earpiece blocked out too much noise to use for general shift work. But like I said; It's all down to personal choice.

I too normally use the smaller black earpiece, personal choice at the end of the day though.

weird question I know but mine does.... I look like i could roll with it on. Im not fat or anything, yeah i have a few founds i want to lose but everyone has. im a bit of a gym rat tho.
is there anyone else who is big built from gym work that also finds this problem? I have a 46" chest to a 36" waist which I have found out is awkward to get good fitting clothes... may this be the same with my stabby and tac vest on top?

What I was told was that if you were to have a car run over your foot (for example) the steel toe cap would clamp down and cleanly sever the end of your foot off.
No that wouldnt happen, they are very strong and I have had a few cars run over my feet in work, and I have still got all 6 toe's on each of my feet.

unfortunately we don't get tunics anymore. I think I was in the 1st group attested not to be issued tunics...I may be wrong tho. we dont get them anymore due to the collaboration with Cambs & Beds. weren't best pleased but was still enjoyable.

Perhaps with the ones you have. But I assure you this is very true and has happened. Not the 6 toe thing......the other thing.

Was the intake after mine that didn't get tunics... I was fortunate enough to get to wear one! Can't remember if you were on the one after me or not. With regards to issued though, nope not personnel issue and don't get them for attestation either!

Misfit, good luck with the rest of the process. You might want to get the ribbon bar made up, very least you can wear it on remembrance and other special occasions, and whilst we don't get issued tunics they are available if needed for special occasions. Are special constables issued tunics ? With regards to looking bulked out, yes that indeed is the joy of body armour and TAC Vest, just hope the cars don't park close together!
