A question to all specials....
How long did your vetting take? dont forget to state your force.

im just curious about how quick or slow some peoples vetting has taken.
also im wondering how long herts specials saw the herts police careers website say "pre employment checks" lol

I think this should be made an option for everyone not just herts. Would be interesting to see the results!!

yeh true... i was curious to how long herts takes but could always do a general one for the all the forces as well

hey, Just saw this as I received my email from the Met today regarding training dates and was looking into vetting, once you've got training dates does that mean vetting is cleared?

if so it was 3-4 weeks since day 2.

well i received an email from herts back in the middle of feb about a training course i have been booked into but there was a choice for a different one if i wanted this. but my vetting is still on going. for me it has been 7-8 weeks and counting. but it may be different between forces.

Not everyone gets notified of vetting clearance, i think its safe to say if your force moves you onto the next stage, paying out medical costs for you to be examined,fitness test and supplies you with training dates then your vetting is ok as "usually" by then vetting has been conducted. It wouldnt be appropriate for a force to pay out such expenses etc if you hadnt passed vetting, apart from training, the medicals are the most expensive part of the process for most forces. But again if in doubt check it out.
