You guessed it........I'm in! :-)

Received letter today saying that I've been allocated a place and that the recruitment process has been completed.

I can't believe I've accomplished so much before even starting.

Anyone else ??

Well done, Jonno.

I have just passed my interview and cannot wait to start training. How long did it take from your interview to training?

Cheers mate.

You are going to think I am mad but I am actually from Cardiff. I am going to travel up one day a week, I hope this shows my commitment to West Mercia for my Regular recruitment process :)

I have chosen Hereford, as my duty area. Have you?

Grats guys, you're gonna love it. I had a great bunch of people on my training and it simply was the best weekends of my life. And Barry is a legend.

Remember, top tip, knowledge is power. And you'll know what i'm on about probably before the end of this weekend.

Good luck, and if anyone's based in Shrews i'll see you there

Good luck with your training guys. As somebody else said, remember that 'knowledge is power'. I'll probably see some of you at some point as I'll be popping over to Worcester for a pint with Kifty on one of your weekends and I may even see if Barrie will let me sit in on the pocket notebook session as a refresher!

You can pick up ex-army boots at a place in Birmingham near the QE Hospital for around £20-£40 which are perfectly good for what you'd need them for. Let me know if you want the address of the place. Other than that if you're specifcally after police patrol boots then you'll find it difficult to find them in stores. You can usually find them in Blacks, GoOutdoors and Millets type shops, but they won't have much of a range. I actually bought a pair of Magnum Strike Force II from patrolstore.com when they were half price but they don't have them any more. Quite a few of us on my course boot these boots and we were all happy with them.
