Thank you for the correction, a small minority is right. I also agree it's over kill but as always its the "tarred with the same brush" scenario. Which is wrong but is unfortunatly the way it is.

I wouldn't contact the driving school directly with disgruntled emails, to do it properly you need someone to step forward and put together a business case with the support of all SC's and bring it to the table at a development meeting. Otherwise all you will do is upset the driving school and the chances of them giving you future courses.

Norfolk are far behind us in specials and driving. At last count, (last year) they had 18 response trained specials, with no further plans to train more. Also if you ask the SC Chiefs in Norfolk they will tell you there is no stopping on the AtoB but if you speak to officers on the ground they will tell you they can. Our driving school is apparently now looking at training Norfolk officers aswell (regular wise).

Consistant approach and police don't usually go in the same sentence.

Personally i would not try and prevent anyone from contacting any person direct be it the driving school or Chief downwards providing the words you choose and the query is sensible.

However, I would, suggest that before direct contact is made "said person" first contacts their immediate supervisor and seeks a comment and if necessary go up the chain of supervisors to ensure the matter cannot be answered at local level or as PECK06 alludes it could already be part of an issue on the Dev Committee agenda or recently covered and has not filtered down yet.

This matter has recently been discussed and Reports / responses provided from various parties at Dev level and i recall discharged with the situation remaining as it is, so if someone else feels strong about this matter then i do suggest they speak to supervisors and put together some case again that would need bringing to those that will review it again.

Good luck
