1. I take it you mean other than driving up the A1? - Probably bus I'd reckon, or train to St Albans and Bus from there, Jonny might be able to better answer this, I think he is from that neck of the woods.-Firstly does anyone know the quickest and cheapest way to get from borehamwood to stevenage.

2. Yes, you can claim travel back, but normally once you have finished training, and are at your station, your first expenses will cover this, keep a good note as I'm not sure if you will be forced to use the 'automated' version or not for this.
3. Generally yes.
Good luck.

I'm assuming that counts for car parking charges also! I don't think I have much choice but to drive living the other side of Luton.

Yep, keep the tickets or make a note of which car park and how much then claim it all back at the end.I'm assuming that counts for car parking charges also! I don't think I have much choice but to drive living the other side of Luton.

I was hoping the council would be offering a weekly permit, but no...only 3 month permits.

Uno buses from Borehamwood to St Albans and Hatfield/WGC. From St Albans you can get to Stevenage (655 Uno Bus to St Albans) via Uno Bus 634. If you go to Hatfield/WGC (615 Uno Bus to Hatfield), you too can go to Stevenage via Uno Bus 634. From Hatfield/SGC you can also take a train up to Stevenage.
There is also the option of the 300/301 from St Albans to Stevenage or Hatfield to Stevenage.
107 bus to New Barnet rail station and then train from there to WGC
792 bus and then 797 coach from Apex Corner
You could also travel into London the train and then come out via Kings Cross to Stevenage.

King Swann, when did you have your assessment? Heard anything of a training date yet?
alright fella. I had mine on the 15th jan. at the moment im going through vetting and i know my employer has the stuff through to fill out but at the moment im on hold till i drop my BMI down a bit which wont be long, so when i believe im at a healthy weight i will give em a call at the OCU to arrange my medical n fitness etc.

Bus are interesting. The 301 took me an hour and a half to get from Hemel to Stevenage in the morning....wasnt that busy, but coming back was much longer. What's the quickiest route, no idea tbh. Taking the train in and then out again will take 1hr 30mins at the top end but much shorter if the connections good. Buses depend on traffic. You could look at the 292 to New Barnet. Problem there is that New Barnet is on the slow line. Bus to Hatfield then Stevenage seems pretty straight forward. At the time you will be going in the morning shouldn't be too busy esp if you want to build in time for the bus to be delayed!!! Early starts!

ideally i will see if any of my friends or family can give me a lift in the morning and give em some petrol money and get bus back... worse case scenario i get bus in at silly o'clock in the morning lol
