From the closing scenes of the film 'Breakfast Club', which is an awesome film from the late John Hughes. How I love his films.

Can't find a version that will play directly from here unfortunately.

And, I can tell you young 'uns, that have been brought up on a diet of CGI, that in 1986, this video was state of the art Posted Image

Love this song and video!

When I first saw this video as a kid I was completely mesmerised - I couldn't believe my eyes that all this crazy stuff was happening. It still looks amazing today too.

My favourite Howard Jones track is No-one Is To Blame (1986).

Howard Jones - No-one Is To Blame

I'm afraid I am going to be a regular to this thread because this is my era,.

I was a massive fan of Howard Jones when I was at 6th form in 1984/85. I had all his records including a number of white labels. My favourite tracks of his were "What is Love" and "Look Mama" I was even a member of his fan club. :)

Me too. I can't leave it alone! Anyhow, you reminded me of this classic from Talking Heads. I'm hoping this is the correct version, someone appears to have stolen my speakers from my desk! :eek:

It's the live one from the Stop Making Sense tour Merlin, but I think it's better than the studio version anyway :eek:

OK, a couple of my favourite bands that I followed to gigs all over the place in the 80's. I was a Gothic Punk back in those days...

We've Got a Fuzzbox and We're Going To Use It (commonly shortened to Fuzzbox) "Love Is The Slug" 1986

Victims Of The Pestilence "Born to Leave" 1989. (Local band from my home town of Hitchin)

Can't find a video, but here's a piccy;

Fields of the Nephilim "Moonchild"

Most of the videos for my favourite bands probably need to be viewed after the 9pm watershed in case they frighten small children :eek:

Here's another one; Ghost Dance "River Of No Return". I used to see them a lot a the local alternative music haunts.

I love 80s soul, but I'll spare you my obsession with the likes of Loose Ends, the SOS Band, Luther Vandross and Imagniation for now. Meanwhile, these retro numbers have been getting me through some manic times at work. Yes I know, they are a bit random.
