Just browsing through the list of topics in this area I realised there's no place for people to express their love of all things Apple, or at least to discuss their various products and what's in the pipeline.

There's already a topic running on the lovely iPhone 4 but what about the iMac, MacBook, Mac Mini, iPad, iPod, Apple TV? And for that matter their various software products - iLife, iWork, MobileMe, iTunes, MacOS, iOS... the list goes on.

And before any of the unenlightened (i.e. PC/Microsoft lovers) think about straying in here to moan about the lack of software on Macs or about how great Windows Phone 7 is compared to iOS, please remember that you're boring and should wash more often, and I have the moderating powers in here

Right... I'll start - I have an aluminium iMac 20", very nice too but starting to show its age a little, and an iPhone 4, I had an iPad for a while and although I loved it, I couldn't really find enough uses for it to justify keeping it... looking forward to iPad 2 though, due I think in early 2011. I use MobileMe which I think is pretty good although overpriced - rumours are that Apple are going to improve it next year. I like iLife, but can't get on with iWork particularly.

I used to have a PC, of course, and bought my first Mac - a Mac Mini - about 6 years ago and since then I have never looked back. Wouldn't go back to Windoze now if you paid me :blu:

As for websites, I like Macworld UK and MacRumors, and I enjoy the British Mac podcast... I'm sure there's other stuff out there too and would be happy to hear suggestions - I particularly love Apple gossip about future products and the like.

So come on, I know there's lots of fellow Apple fanboys/girls out there - share the love!

I have an iPhone 4, yes I queued up on the launch day at Lakeside Shopping Centre.

I plan on getting the iPad 2 when it comes out next year. I don't really have time (I'm head of IT Services Voluntary for London/Essex Sea Cadets) to learn MAC and not use Windows, but some day I hope to!

iPod Touch 8 GB ♥

Looked at the new iPod touch as a possible pressie but was a bit shocked at the price - £190 just for the 8GB version. Mind you the nano I suppose is the entry level touch screen device...

I've a black MacBook (can I use that to say I'm not a racist on E&W competency forms?) and iPhone 3GS. I had to fight off urges to buy a new MacBook Pro over the last few days - mainly by telling myself there will be a new, better one coming soon.

I even, shamefully, read macrumors.com, although I at least console myself by grumbling at the lack of a u in rumors.

I even had a job interview for a summer internship with Apple once.

*Comes out of the Macgeek closet*

Posting this from my late 2008 Macbook (the last unibody before becoming Macbook Pro) upgraded to 500gb hdd and 4gb ram and dual booting into Win 7 (for NCALT purposes only) and OSX.

I also have a 16gb iPad 3g, iMac G3 (now running Tiger) off of Gallifrey on here; 120gb and 30gb ipod classics.

I've also been an 'Apple Sales Professional' for the last 2 years (although that only really means I get to wear a little silver badge).

Yes mate, I've noticed that you have to splash out a bit when it comes to Apple products but you pay for the quality :blu:

I recently just upgraded from my iPhone 3g to the iPhone 4. Brilliant phone! I can't praise it enough.

In the past I have owned iPods as well, but I got fed up of having to get the okay from iTunes for every little thing that I did, so now I have a Sony MP3 that happily plays any and all music files, including iTunes downloads.

I did have an iPad 16GB WiFi, but that has recently gone as I just wasn't getting the use out of it. One day when Flash is introduced I'll consider it again.

And I would love a Mac but I'm too poor.

So does this make me an Apple Fanboy then? Posted Image

No likelihood of getting Flash on any Apple devices - they've pinned all their hopes on the HTML5 ship...

Ah well.

Using the tablet for web browsing/shopping etc. was great, and I really liked it. But I just got fed up of having to put it down and grab the laptop when something on a website didn't work.

Maybe a different tablet might be the way to go.

I bought a iPhone 3G (when they were new) and switched instantly (in my mind) to Mac :(

Had a white macbook first but after pouring tea on it, waiting 1* day to see if it started working again I bought a MBP just before last Christmas.

Had an iPhone 4 since last August. Also a fan of MobileMe and hoping it becomes MobileMeFree soon :(

Got an iPad (cheap(est) one) - awesome for taking lecture notes and stuff with (handwriting/drawing apps.) and <3 GarageBand for iPad. Best £2.49 ever spent.

*It started working the day my new MBP was delivered but it's no use telling me now that I should have waited longer! :p

I have a Custom Macbook Pro i7 15" version with upgraded hard-drive and a few other things. Got it in October and love it :aok:

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate on a dual-boot so I now no longer need my PC at all! Use OSX for everything except gaming which is only compatible with Win.

Also have a 2007 iPod Video 5th Gen. Still as good as when it was first bought :(

Right, my PC is dying and, having recently gone down the iPhone (and even iPad!) route, I am a firm Apple convert.

I have also got my hands a promo code that gives 10% off Apple computers from dixons (go through this, if you're interested).

Do I buy a new 21" 'base' iMac for £900?

Answers on a postcard, please.

They are, I bought my iPad from them. However, I'm mainly swayed by Dixons offering 10% off (at least £100!).

Yes - a good investment.

Have a look at quidco.com too - you might be able to get another 3% cashback (after a little wait...).

First impressions very, very good - such a smooth set up and visually stunning. Now I just need to transfer everything over!
