Once you get over things like command vs control etc, it seems pretty good plus there's loads of help on the apple site to help you.
I will say that from opening the box to finishing set up was about 10 minutes - it really is well designed! (and most of that time was removing plastic packaging)

Is it worth it?

Has anyone here made the transition from PC to Mac? Is it easy to adapt from one system to the other or is it more hassle than it's worth?
Yep i did.
I got an iPhone 3G, and i was addicted to Macs from that...
Then i switched to an MBP from my Vista laptop..
Macs just make sense.... Thats the best i can say.
Everything is SO much simpler.
The best rated OS fro windows is Win7.. What OS is that primarily based around? OSX... The way everything is stacked and not long bas clogging up the task bar.
Not that simple in the way of short cuts and hot keys, but when you get to grips with it its all much much easier.

Priceless.
Supposed to be a paupers 8gb version and a teardrop model as far as I understand.
Also, iOS 5 is being released then too.

Took delivery of my new mac today, its simple enough really, just abit diffrent with all the shortcuts and what not, as others have said. You could always do what I did and just bootcamp it and use it primarly as a fancy windows system
At least I can seem "trendy" and "cool" now...........

Should be a fairly short delay before you can buy it, a couple of weeks perhaps. And iOS 5 will be launched at about the same time. Cool :-)
I will, of course, pretend to be cool and non-committal about buying the new phone... and then I'll be queuing at the Apple store for hours on launch day like every time before!

and iTunes 10.6
updates aren't brilliantly quick though - about an hour for the iOS one.
