It's been quiet on here lately! Is anyone going to the briefing with the DCC later?

It was quite informative, quite a bit of information about how they are bringing the Special Constabulary forward in Gwent, it was all quite positive. I think the Q&A part was more for those specials already in a LPU.

For those that remember Staff Kent saying we need parade shoes for the attestation I have just been sent this link, looks like good value. Here!

so is this the piece that we have to learn ?

A constable may exercise any power conferred by this section—(a)in any place to which at the time when he proposes to exercise the power the public or any section of the public has access, on payment or otherwise, as of right or by virtue of express or implied permission; or

(b)in any other place to which people have ready access at the time when he proposes to exercise the power but which is not a dwelling.

I thought it was the paragraph at the beginning of s.1 PACE in the quick notes book page 75? 'a police constable may detain in order to...etc. etc....any such article found during a search may be seized'.

But i could be wrong Posted Image

hahaha, none of us can remember.

Looking at page 75 in the quick notes book, it does look familiar, but the test seemed to be a paragraph, and these are bulletpoints.

Confusing.

I've decided to learn as much of Section 1 as possible! That way I can guarantee the bit I don't learn is what we need! Posted Image

Academic Qualification pro forma

Complete and return. Please attach photocopy of certificates. This will be used for the pen-pictures at your attestation ceremony and retained on your personal file.

Did anyone get these forms ??

Hi all, just been having a read through the thread. Can someone please tell me what that means? Does it mean you have to supply all exam results from when we were back at school/college, as in G.C.S.E results?

If that's true and im luckily enough to get that far, it looks like i'll have to fork out £90 to get the results from the exam board as i've lost all the certificates.
