I'm going in jeans and a shirt I would imagine.

I'll probably go for jeans too. The trainer just said wear something 'tidy'. So, smart-casual I suppose.

Agreed about the group interaction being good last night.

What time do we start on Saturday? Is it 9am or 9.30am?

It was ok. Looking forward to the law side of training. It was all mostly common sense behaviour.

See you all bright and early tomorrow morning :w00t:

Have we got a different trainer tomorrow ?

I don't mind doing presentations, but i don't like talking about something i don't know too much of.

I agree with Dan, it's good because we get to speak to other members of the group on a more one to one basis, as it's pretty hard to get to know 21 other people.

I'm not massively keen on giving a talk on something I know little-to nothing about. I guess that's why they get us to do it-to establish the confidence to do so.

Give it a few weeks and we'll all be at the same level and have the ability to talk about anything, regardless of knowledge.

Roll on Wednesday now......

Has everyone received the home work E-mail ?

Heres the information.

You all have the Blackstones student officer handbook.

My lesson to you on the 4th of May is PNB – Pocket notebook and statements. Page 219, 220,221, 222, 223.

Next you need to learn the two cautions off by heart, these are also known as the When caution and the Now caution, page 224.

‘You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention WHEN questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence’

The now caution is.’ You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention NOW something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence’

It will all be explained.

Another E-mail from the special co-ordinator

Hi All

Please find attached a letter. Due to the DCC’s commitments we are moving our briefing planned for the 10th May to the 9th May. Time and venue will remain the same.

Please can you pass on this info to the other members of your training group as I only have a few of your email addresses so far.

Hope to see you all on the 9th May

See you all tonight !!

Yes, Our trainers are Kent, and Smith.

The training is 4 months. We have only just started.

Who's going to the lecture on the 9th of May ?

So glad we got the weekend off, imagine being stuck in that classroom.

The pass mark for the tests is only 50% and they are quite basic. The training is 3 hours on a Wednesday evening and 3 hours on a Saturday morning with a few full weekends thrown in. It lasts 4 months.
