My trusty Denon AVR 1604 Home Cinema amp has given up the ghost after years of faithful service. :strop:
Can anyone recommend a repairer, preferably in Sussex?

I would have thought that with a brand new, full HD home cinema amp being available for less than £300, repairing your AVR1604 would not be worthwhile. Remember, you could get if fixed, pay say £100 for the repair, and it could break down within weeks/ months. At least with a new product, you have a warranty. The sort of amp you might consider as a replacement Onkyo TX-SR313 or similar. Good luck.

I've got an onkyo 309, paid 165 brand new, and it's brilliant.... Entry level and does everything!

I have the Onkyo 509, it does a hell of a lot more than I need it to do and has lots of inputs etc. Currently £250 at Richer Sounds.
