Topic.

Selling the game as I don't really play it much any more, not that it's not good, I just prefer the more recent entries into the Smackdown Vs Raw series. SVR 2007 was the first non-PS2 exclusive entry into the series, being released on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as the PS2, with a good degree of success I think, the 360 version has very good gameplay and graphics, and fans of playing online will have a ball, especially trying to do the online achievements.

Anyway, down to the Business side of things.. As I only paid £3.99 in Game last year for the game pre-owned, I'm selling it on here for a fiver plus £2 recorded delivery, as mentioned in previous sales I always use recorded delivery as I don't trust Royal Mail to not lose stuff.

So, to save me faffing about putting it on eBay, anyone on here interested? I know wrestling isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I could do with the cash.

The highest price I can find that this has sold for on eBay is £5.50 inc. P&P.

Not worth the hassle by the time you've paid listing and seller fees IMO

Oh well, I'll see what Game or CEX offer for it, bet it'll be all of £2 if that.

So you're selling a game you bought for £3.99 for what amounts to £7? I don't think you will face any injuries in any stampede, Rich, to be honest.

That's how it generally works when you're getting rid of tat to raise funds. No profit or no money at all... I know which I'd prefer.

When people have car boot sales they don't generally expect to sell things for the same price that they purchased them for. If you get lucky and happen to sell something for more that what you paid for it then that's a bonus, but shouldn't be expected. You should see it as cutting your losses rather than getting your money back for a purchase that you no longer want.

Stop trolling, you probably don't even own a 360

And before anyone even goes there, wrestling is NOT gay, it is NOT just sweaty men in shorts hugging each other.

Spot on

Rich, chill with the attitude, jeez!

If I wanted it, I could get it for £6.99 BRAND NEW, not third hand, and that includes P+P, and that's from a business! Don't be surprised when this doesn't sell, like everything else you overprice then argue with everyone about!

Where the hell did that come from?

You know what, Rich? Carry on. Granted, Carty's comment wasn't exactly helpful but you've only yourself to blame for the grief you get on here. I can only imagine that you are given an extraordinary amount of leeway by the moderators and I'll tell you what, it won't last forever. You go on about the amount of bother you got on the Sheffield forums and if I'm honest, I can totally see why.

I try my best to be professional on here and although I let my standards slip on occasions with the odd flippant remark at least I can be safe in the knowledge that I have managed to maintain a level of personal standards befitting the role of a police constable. You have a long way to go and I think you need to remember that the South Yorkshire Police Recruitment and Selection department won't have to flex much of their investigative muscle to suss out exactly who you are. I'm a great believer in second chances... how many do you want?

No one's saying that. But you're expecting to sell a game for more than it's worth. Is that likely to happen? And at a price of nearly twice what you paid for it yourself? Ask yourself. Game worth £4, and you can get it for that price easily enough. Are you going to spend £7 to buy it? No, just no.

Stop trolling, you probably don't even own a 360

I see. So, get comments you don't agree with and we're off down the 'trolling' route are we, despite the fact these are long-standing members who have been, in some cases, around a lot longer than you? And that's despite the fact the console here really has no bearing on the issue whatsoever.

And before anyone even goes there, wrestling is NOT gay, it is NOT just sweaty men in shorts hugging each other.

What are on Richard? Where on earth did that come from?

More to the point, if he sells it, it will be THIRD hand, and he expects to make a profit?

Rich, you are unbelievable sometimes

How am I trolling? Everything you don't agree with is classed as 'trolling' for some strange reason.

No, I don't own a 360, I own a PS3. But if you're selling a 3 year old game for £7 that wasn't even yours to start off with (thus 'third hand' as Bas pointed out), I am never going to pay £7 and anyone who does is mad. I wouldn't even pay that for a game I love never mind one I hate. I'm sure many people would feel the same unless they like being ripped off.

If you are intent on selling it then why don't you just trade it in. Some money is better off than none afterall.

This thread actually has me laughing out loud, much to the dismay of the other inhabitants of my house.

Rich - seriously, you need to lose the attitude and start realising that we aren't all "out to get you" or victimise you at all. Quit with the random remarks, quit with the constant guard, and grow up a tad. You are a grown man - since when did anyone accuse you of liking sweaty men in shorts hugging each other? Posted Image

In the past, when I've said I watch wrestling, I've been accused of homosexuality. on other forums for example, so I'm naturally a bit defensive on the subject.

I'm not homophobic, I just don't like being accused of being gay just cos I watch wrestling.

I'd be quite surprised if it was officers from this forum branding you homosexual just because you watch wrestling.

This is a POLICE forum, do you really think anyone if going to accuse you of being "gay", even if they thought it? Seeing as PSD's actively monitor sites like this, can't see it happening!

You always seem to go on the offensive, and I agree with the posts about trolling above, don't call people trolls just because they have differing views to you!
