Woo first post!

I am thinking of applying to become a Special for CSP and I just wanted to ask a couple of questions regarding the medical. What does it involve? How strict are they with BMI? I know it should normally be between 18-30. Mine is currently at about 35. I'm not the fittest guy but I do consider myself to be reasonably fit.

Just asking as I don't want to go through the entire process and fail at the end.

The fitness test is not as strict as for the regulars.

You have to be generally fit though. I cannot remember them doing a BMI at my medical.

I asked about this earlier this week when I attended the familiarisation night as my BMI is 36. I asked if this would be a deciding factor and was told it could be and if it happened that I didnt lose the weight by the time August came, they could put me into the February intake.

Changed a wee bit in the 5 years since i joined then.

Having said that could be a good driver to do something about it - good luck
