For a second there, I thought you were going to say that that was why your phone rang in the middle of yesterday's attestation!! :D

To all that applied - hang on in there, you'll hear soon enough! (I know two bods who have passed the papersift so far...)

Lol pulled battery out in the end have a very sensitive phone that turns on wen it feels like it. But it does seem that if you get a call your one of the chosen ones.

It seems to be the form that people are getting calls to say they have been successful which is great but not sure it should be the way when there is those of us that have not heard anything which really its just about waiting for the letter .

I suppose it may depend on when the successful applicants are required to attend the assessment centre. Given that Christmas is rapidly approaching, and the postal service is having to deal with a much larger quantity of letters than usual, a phone call to those that have passed the papersift stage may be the ideal way of letting them know. It's a fact of life that successful applicants for any role or job are notified quickly (phone call, first class post, etc) than the unsuccesful ones (2nd class post, or in some jobs, nothing at all!)

Remember, there were 500+ applications that recruitment had to deal with - that's potentially a large number of rejections, calling everyone would be expensive and time consuming. I'm sure everyone will hear shortly, successful or not - patience is a virtue, especially in the police service!

i heard back the other day by phone and was given my assessment date.

Congratulations, good luck at the assessment centre! :D
