  1. We have a mobile phone, great if there's a signal so some of us then give a land line. We have a rota so pick what hours we can do. We are also asked to cover out of area eg next villages of resource is a fair distance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm a cfr in Essex, we are called out to cardiac, breathing and unconscious, we may be sent to other incidents depending on how it is logged, I was sent to a drug o/d as the pt was supposedly unconscious, I arrived to find them running around screaming. I was taught cpr, O2 and basic first aid. We drive our own car with no blue lights and at normal road speed. Regards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My worse year was when my wife was based on the wedding cake in front of buck palace and I was in charge of a 1st aid unit at the rear of the crowds. My wife ( anti royal) had a brilliant view and me ( royalist) saw nothing. Still got to chat to the crowd and the police on duty. Not done it for a couple of years now. 5. Go pick up the kids can mean all things and does not mean they are driving. They may be getting a taxi walking etc or hubby may be in the car park waiting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Why is it non masons claim all the time about how evil it is, if you are not a Freemason then how would you know? As there are only 3 degrees in English freemasonary then what you have just said does not make sense? The rest are side orders that are extra to join, and have nothing to do with UGLE. I think you are thinking of the Scottish rite and American freemasonary which have 33 degrees and is separate from the grand lodge of England If you are not a freemason then how do you know what happens at the top so to speak? 7. Are you a Freemason? If you were then the only secrets we have are the way we recognise each other and so we know what degree they have taken. Our ritual book is available freely to buy and a certain auction site is full of our regalia. Hence the need to keep the recognition bit secret and is confirmed on candidates as and when they are ready to learn more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I too am on the square. We have in our lodge, 2 ex police officers and 1 serving police officer. All I look up to. I'm not in the police but we also have 5 Ambo service personnel. It has not helped me professionally as I was facing redundancy last year along with 300 other managers in my company. But what masonary has given me is confidence and a belief in my self. And as the old saying goes it makes good men better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Post boxes do not have e11r in Scotland as Scotland only recognises her as Elizabeth the 1st. The crown used on boxes and vans is completely different. When the queens passes all new boxes will have the new cypher and all existing boxes will remain the same hence why you see every monarch . The vans will be updated as and when they are serviced and uniform will be replaced as and when renewed. As for the police I imagine it will be the same. Except helmet and cap badges changed ASAP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sjab is 12 years then 5 for each bar. Ye it's unpaid a minimum 50 hours a year. I am also a cfr community first responder with the ambulance service, again unpaid but no LS medal, but we did get the jubilee medals. Regards
