You might think this is quite an expense, but it's less than £8
per CD which is cheaper than buying books. And they will
help you learn the foundation legislation which is a must for
every probationer special and regular.
How will this package help me?
Sometimes getting a good understanding of legislation from
reading it can be quite difficult. Imagine having someone explain
it in simple terms, giving straightforward, scenario based
examples of how it works and how it all fits together - that's
what this course offers.
Does it cover the new powers of arrest and entry introduced by
the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act?
Yes, the CD package was completely updated to reflect these
changes.
Does this package cover everything a probationary Constable or
new Special needs to learn?
Not everything - however the course covers foundation training
in most of the legislation you will need to know. From experience
this is the area of your studies that will cause you the most
concern and requires the most studying!
Should I use this package instead of the information supplied by
my police force?
The course has been designed for use alongside the information
provided by your employer and will complement, not replace it.
Should I buy this package before I start my police training?
Getting ahead is always good, police training can be tough so
preparing yourself in advance makes good sense.
I understand that this package will help me with when I study
something, but will it help me with revision?
Yes! Because this package is on a normal audio CD you will be
able to quickly remind yourself of earlier parts of the course.
This can even take place while you're driving in the car or
sitting on a train.
Will this Package help me with my police probationer exams or
Specials knowledge checks?
Yes. The key to passing exams is being able to remember lots of
information. It is usually easier to remember things you have
heard than articles you have read. The scenarios will also be of
great value when trying to apply your knowledge to exam
situations.
Can this package be used for any Police Probationer Training in
the UK?
This package is fully compatible with all Probationary
Constable Training Courses in England and Wales, but unfortunately
not in Scotland.
